Having a representative allows the youth to express what their needs are and how they feel they can be best addressed! This also counts towards community service hours.

Youth may apply for internships within district government if they attend a local college or university within DC.

Time in the Student Government Program is considered work experience for the years involved, should they apply for a District Government position.
